Suggested by YOB
This artist is new to deviantART, and her gallery may be small, but it shows signs of plenty of talent to come! Be sure to stop by to welcome her to the community and show your support.
This deviant has a beautiful range of beautiful traditional drawings and stunning photos in her gallery. Western-style horse fans, this one is for you!
Featured Digital Equine Artist</u>
I’ve had a lot of suggestions for this wonderful artist to be featured in H.A. as an underappreciated artist, but I think she has clearly established herself as an amazing, popular and talented member of the community! She therefore deserves to be the Featured Digital Equine Artist in this issue. Malin is fairly new to dA, so in case you haven’t met her yet, stop by her page to say hi!
Featured Traditional Equine Artist</u>
Linda is an extremely talented pencil artist, with an amazing gallery full of equine art! As well as horses, she draws dogs and cats like a pro. Go check out her beautiful gallery if you haven’t already done so!
Featured Equine Photographer</u>
This talented photographer has a whole world of beautiful and exciting equine photos in her amazing gallery. You could spend all day looking at all the gorgeous horses! Be sure to check out the rest of her gallery too – there are many other beautiful images of animals.
Featured Equine Photomanipulator</u>
This talented artist has some truly wonderful and spectacular manipulations in her gallery. Everything is blended flawlessly, so it’s hard to tell the difference between stock and reality!
An Interview With... </u>
Every issue of H.A, I will be interviewing one of your favourite equine artists! This issue, it is who has been a loved member of our community since 2007, and in that time has been established as a popular and talented artist. Cursey is best known for the enormous range of characters in their various herds, but the two stallions, Pirate and Lyo, steal the show! Always friendly and welcoming, Cursey has a brilliant personality and a style that is an inspiration to many. If by some small chance you haven’t already seen Cursey's artwork, what are ya waiting for?!
Hello and thank you for joining us! Could you tell us a little about yourself?
HHHHAAAAAI My name is Tyler Szabó (or Cursed Pirate?)...I am 18 years OLD and live in the beautiful city Wien, in Austria x333 I go to a graphic school where I can draw my horses all the time Yah even in the lessons, when teachers are not watchin’ of course!
Cool. How long have you been drawing horses for?
Since I am 7...or 6. I dunno. My friend drew one and I just tried if I can do also...since then it came over me like a hurricane XDDD
Wow, really? Can you tell us why you enjoy drawing them so much?
Seriously I have NO idea O_o. Sure they are elegant...beautiful and powerful beings, but I have no idea why I don’t draw big cats or...other wonderful animals. Horses simply rock
Do you have a particular way of drawing horses?
Head first..?! but I do it like its shown on the Spirit DVD ^^
Interesting. Can you share with us what your very favourite piece in your gallery is?
Its definitely not my "best" piece if I look at the colouring or the anatomy...but I really like the calm feeling in the picture and the "comfort" also emotion X’D Also because it shows two of my dearest characters and one of my main characters. XD Aaaalso because its kind of a..."dramatic" meaning behind the picture...I like drama.
Looks amazing! Do you have an OC (original character)? Can you tell us a little about him/her?
Sure *.* But I have 2 main OC’s. XD I cant say only one of them coz they are alllllways together One of them is Pirate. He also used to be my equisona...he's quiet...grumpy…shy…feminine...serious...clever and sometimes evil. The other one is Lyo XD He blessed "some" mares on dA with his foals... Its simply his hobby to flirt and to make love He is quick minded...brave...bright…flirty...drunk...confused...horny...powerful aaand a womanizer. But he really cares of other's feelings. It’s just the problem he loves too many horses....
Awesome characters! Is there any particular part of equine anatomy that you find difficult to draw?
Ugh yes Their chest! AND pregnant mares XDD
Good to know we all have trouble, then! So what would be your favourite part of drawing?
FACES I love, love, LOVE to draw expressions! XD And difficult poses. ^^ It’s always interesting if it turns out embarrassing or nice.
Where do you get your inspiration from?
Mmmmmmooooooooovvies! oougghh...let me watch a cool action movie with shooting around in the subway and jumping around on rooftops and the genius plans from secret agents and BOOOM! I could draw the next 72 hours XP
Awesome! You’ve been an inspiration to a number of budding equine artists out there – can you share some tips to those just starting out?
Tips....of course there is practising… it must be boring to hear this all the time, but it’s true xD! And iscribble! Damn that’s cool. You can see how professional artists begin their drawings! You can learn a LOT! Oh and tutorials! dA has a lot ^^
Thank you for your time. Any last pieces of advice you can give to your fellow equine artists?
YUSH! Never loose the patience and keep drawing x3! If you really want something in your life...fight for it. ^^ And you should be proud of your work! x333 It’s something that YOU made out of YOUR imagination! IMAGINE that.

Hacked Account
My account was hacked. I don't know if anyone noticed but my profile was deactivated (unknown to me) and all of my account was wiped. I thankfully managed to restore my artwork and journals thanks to a very helpful dA staff member but all of my gallery stats (over 3 million artwork views, 150,000+ faves and 10,000+ watchers) are gone. To say I'm gutted is an understatement. I was very proud of the stats I had built up over the years and whilst I know it's not *the* most important aspect of having a dA account, somehow it's not the same knowing that's all been wiped. I still have all of your comments and my journals thankfully, so at least I c
Commissions, perhaps?
Hello to any of my faithful watchers still here and reading this journal! Hope you are all doing fantastic and that life is treating you well. 😊 Looks like another year has flown by and here I am again writing another journal with life updates! I'm doing good - still trying to find my dream job, but hoping things will change as I'm about to do a makeup course in 2 weeks time which I'm hoping will open some more doors for me! I've always loved doing makeup and it means I can be creative and be passionate about what I'm doing too which is something I've yet to find in my career. Love life is great, I'm still with my other half and curre
Two years in the life of Bori...
Seems like I'll always be associated with that username :giggle:
So first off, thank you all for the lovely welcome back! (I've already fallen behind with responding to comments. :XD:) It actually feels pretty nice to be here again, though I will say straight up that I'm back part-time and can't dedicate as much time to being here as I used to. But since many of you have asked, I'll give you a little life update... there's a cookie at the end for anyone who gets that far! :cookie:
Currently I am living on my own in a lovely little house by the sea in my hometown. I moved out of my parents' a couple of years ago and this is actually my third
What's this? A journal update?!
Has it REALLY been over two years since I last updated my page? :wow: I'm seriously shocked at how quickly time flies by. How is everyone? Who's still here? So much has happened since last time I upaded that I don't even know where to begin! Comment below and I'll see what kind of response I get and I'll write a new journal if there is enough interest.
And if nobody reads this, then oh well... :bounce:
